Training Schedules (Senior & Juvenile)

SENIOR TRAINING

Tuesday:
Open session with Joe Chawke,
UL track, warm up from 6PM, with session starting at 6:15PM

Thursday:
Senior Training UL open to all AAI club members.
Meet at 6.50pm at UL track and begin warming up with a view to a 7pm group warm-up & session start.

Friday:
‘Meet and Train’ session in Mungret village, meeting at the Church car park during winter months. Open to beginners as well as advanced. Suitable for walkers, couch-to-5k hopefuls and experienced or advanced runners alike. The emphasis of this session is on beginners.

For any new members wishing to join the membership form can be found in our “join our club” section . Please fill it in and make your payment with paypal. Alternatively you can download the form and bring it, as well as payment, to one of the training sessions.

Juvenile Training

All children born in 2013 and upwards can join our club for this season – i.e. all athletes who be 8 years of age in 2021, born in 2013 or earlier. This is the minimum age for joining. 

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, our training sessions and locations have been modified to satisfy the government limits that apply to pod sizes. 

Training for all athletes U9 to U11 (born 2011-2013) takes place on Monday evenings at 7PM in the field behind Raheen Foodstore (at the top of Raheen Gardens).

Training for all athletes U12 to U18 (born 2002-2010) takes place on Thursday evening at 6:30-7:30PM in the Crescent Comp. 

Saturday morning training for all juvenile athletes is at 9-10:15AM on the track at UL. 

 

The old training schedule below will not apply until the Covid-19 crisis has passed. 

Monday 7-8pm in Crescent Comp ( 6pm for young athletes aged 14 and upwards) –  €3 contribution per child towards training facilities 
Thursday 6:30-7:30pm Crescent Comp – this session is for athletes who are competing on a  regular basis – €3 contribution per child towards training facilities
Saturday 10-11.15am UL track, no charge
Sunday. 9am at UL Track – relay training
