Cross Country Season Kicks off in Bilboa AC on Sunday Next
On Sunday next in Bilbao AC in east Limerick, just beyond Cappamore, the cross country season kicks off in earnest with the Limerick County juvenile even ages, novice and under 23 grades all in action. Many club athletes have already progressed their preparations. In glorius sunshine last Sunday, in the Cratloe Hills there was a good turn out of athletes, including the highly promising Aoife Roisin Burke from Adare, who has just returned from injury. For many non cross country specialists, cross country provides a good winter foundation of increased stamina and strength, whch can improve athletes for indoor and ouitdoor track next season. All club athletes are urged to participate.

Two athletes who will not be participating include Timmy Crowe and Lily Anne O'Hora. Both will be chasing further honours in the All Ireland schools combined events finals in Santry Stadium. Best of luck to both in Dublin and best of luck to all in the the cross country season ahead..
