New Indoor 1500m PB for Drumm in Bratislava. Print E-mail
While the annual AAI  Munster Star award was the focus of attention for Dooneen last night in the Auburn Lodge Hotel in Ennis, Orla Drumm was in action in far off Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Orla was competing in the first of series of indoor races as part of her preparations to achieve the qualifying mark for the major indoor events coming up in a few months.

Orla was very pleased with her new PB in a time of 4.19.01 shaving 0.8 off her previous PB and was good enough for 2nd place on the night. This result will be a major boost, as she makes the short journey across the border to Vienna for another more competitive 1500m race and then on to Dusseldorf hopefully, before returning to the Odyssey Arena in Belfast for the Irish Indoor Championships on the 11th and 12th of February where she will be joined by a number of other Dooneen athletes.
