The 14th Limerick ladies Mini Marathon was launched in County Hall Dooradoyle on Monday night last, before a good cross section of the Limerick athletic fraternity including Phil Roche, John Hickey and Kevin O'Connor.

Promoted by Limerick AC - club president Ronnnie Long  wearing an impressive silver chain oversaw proceedings, which was attended by the mayors of the city, the county and Clare, all of whom seemed in good form ahead of the boundary revision proposals. The VHI is the main sponsor for this years race with media partners the Limerick Leader and 95FM.

The race itself will be held on Sunday 3rd of July in UL and Castletroy and an even bigger entry than ever is expected. Last year Dooneen athletes such as Tracey Roche, Orla Drumm, Ciara Barrett and Mary O'Hora were amomg the large entry who competed and did very well raising funds for various charities.
