Aishling Croke was one of the top performing Irish athletes in Glasgow this weekend at the schools international. Competing in her specilaity event the high jump Aishling won a silver medal clearing 1.65m. Greg O'Shea took a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay while finishing sixth in the 100m and also in the 200m. Lily Ann O'Hora was sixth in the 80m hurdles. All will be encouraged by this performance as they will all be underage again next year for this competition.
Captain of the Irish team Sarah Lavin led her team to second place overall and she herself was second in the 80m hurdles and second in the 100m, finishing off her day by competing in the 4x100m. Amy O'Donoghue also of Emeald AC one of Ireland's up and coming stars was an impressive second in the 800m to complete a good weekend for ladies athletics in Limerick
