With exams on the agenda for many this year there was a smaller than usual entry from Dooneen for this event, but it was high on quality.
On the track Greg O'Shea one of Ireland's most promising young spinters took an impressive double gold in the u16 100m and 200m, Jane Dickenson took gold in the u18 100m, Shannon Ryan won gold and slver in the 1500m and the 3000m, Jessica Coyne 2nd in the 800m, and Brona Croke doing well in the 1500m getting up for an impressive third.
In the field events there was no one to compete with Irelands #4 ranked high jumper Aishling Croke as she set yet another competion record her 11th we understand, in winning the high jump with a near best performance of 1.71. Aisling Sheehan won the u18 girls javelin with a fine throw of over 36m an SB.
There were several other fine performances and a number of relay golds the detail of which will follow.
Well done to all.
