Newsflash

Victory for Cathal in Morton Memorial Meeting in Santry.

On a great night for Irish athletics at the Morton Memorial Meeting in Santry Stadium, Dooneen had two athletes in action before a good sized crowd. First into action was Cathal O'Connor in the boys u17 1500m in a small field of about eight runners, he showed that he had shrugged off recent illness to complete a new PB of 4.09. This will be a good boost as he completes his preparations for the English Open in Birmingahm in a few weeks time, where he will compete with clubmates Timmy Crowe and Nathan Jege.
