Tim Crowe moved into new territory this week when he competed in the Munster schools Pentathlon finals in Waterford. The Sixmilebridge man was unlucky to finish a close second with an impressive total of 3,186 points from his six events. Coach O'Hora was pleased with the result, but afterwards insisted that there is much more potential in this athlete, which has yet to be revealed, especially in his strong events the hurdles and the high jump. Tim will now focus on the All Ireland schools finals to take place in Santry Stadium next weekend where a good finish could see Tim progress further. Also in action was champion hurdler Lily Ann O'Hora who finished a creditable third and she also will now compete in Santry. Well done to both athletes and best of luck in Santry.
