Irish Life Health National Indoor Junior & U23 Championships
These championships took place in Athlone on Saturday.
Girls:
Maria Campbell and Sarah Butler ran the Junior Women’s 800m in
2:22.82 and 2:24.56 respectively.
Boys:
Dior Lawal finished 5th in the Junior Men’s 60m in 7.01. Kelvin O’
Carroll competed in Junior Men’s 800m recording a time of 2:07.12. Cathal Locke won silver in the U23 Men’s 400m in 48.64.
Well done to all athletes.

National Indoor League
Congratulations to Kelvin O’ Carroll who was back in action on
Sunday as a guest in the 800m at the National Indoor League
finishing 2nd in 2:02.87.

parkrun
Shona and Seamus O’Flynn ran Knockanacree Woods parkrun in
Cloughjordan, Ann MacPhail ran Clarisford parkrun, Andrew
McMahon (who achieved a PB), Brian Halpin, James Connolly, Niall
Harris, Alison Flynn, David Rohan, Breda Leo, Ger Meehan, Eileen
Reeves, Patrick Noonan, and Marion O’Halloran all ran Limerick
parkrun, while Joe O’Brien (who achieved a PB), Michael Casey
O’Shea (who achieved a PB), and Claire Forward ran Mungret
parkrun.

Club membership
Club membership for 2020 is now due and should be paid before the
end of January. Membership has many benefits and if you are not
registered you are not covered by Athletics Ireland insurance and
therefore you can’t train with the club. You can join Dooneen or
renew your membership online.

Adult Training​
Adult Training takes place at 6:15pm on Tuesday & 7pm on Thursday
in UL. Fit4Life/Meet and Train takes place in Mungret at 6:15pm on
Fridays. Long run takes place every Sunday at 9am in UL or Cratloe.

Juvenile Training
Juvenile training takes place every Monday night at 7pm & every
Thursday night at 6.30pm in Crescent Comprehensive. There is also
training at the track in UL every Saturday at 10am. Athletes must be
turning 8 during 2020 to be eligible to join. All levels of ability are
