Berlin Marathon

Over 40,000 people took part in this year’s Berlin Marathon on Sunday. Well done to Alison Flynn, who ran 3:45:50.

Naas Town 10K

This race took place in Kildare on Sunday. Well done to John Shier, who ran a PB of 48:23.

Cook Medical Women’s Mini Marathon

Almost 3,000 participants completed the 5K and 10K routes at this year’s event on Sunday. Among those taking part were Aly Hogan O’Curry, Ann MacPhail, and Karen Raine. Congratulations to Ann, who finished 3rd in the 10K! Well done to all.

Alison Flynn ran Hasenheide parkrun in Berlin, Shane O’Sullivan, Ger Meehan, Breda Leo, and Seamus O’Flynn ran Limerick parkrun, while Claire Forward and Marion O’Halloran ran Mungret parkrun.

Adult Training​
Adult Training takes place on Tuesdays at 6:15pm & Thursdays at 7pm in UL. Long run takes place every Sunday at 9am in UL or Cratloe. Fit4Life/Meet and Train takes place on Fridays in Mungret at 6:15pm. New members & beginners are always welcome. Contact Dooneen Facebook page for more details.

Juvenile Training
Juvenile training takes place every Monday night at 7pm & every Thursday night at 6.30pm in Crescent Comprehensive. There is also training at the track in UL every Saturday at 10am. Athletes must be aged 7 years or older on or before 31st December 2019 to be eligible to join. All levels of ability are welcome. Contact Dooneen Facebook page for more details.
