Irish Life Health National Juvenile Indoor Championships Day 1, 18th of March

Report from Athlone on the 18th of March.
Athlone was the venue for the first day of this years championships and Dooneen were well represented by some of our finest young athletes.
Qualifying for the Nationals is an achievement in itself and all our athletes should be proud to have reached this level. Many of our athletes medalled and most recorded personal best perfromances.

U12 Girls
Orla O’Shaughnessy, 3rd in the Long Jump and 5th in the 60m
Freya Wiegand also competed in the High Jump and achieved a personal best performance.
Both girls were competing in their first Indoor National Finals and enjoyed the experience.

U13 Boys
Jayden Carmody, 2nd in the 60m.
Dennis Matthews, 3rd in the 60m.

U14 Girls
Victoria Adiadamen, 5th in the 60m

U16 Boys
Tesse Lawal, 4th in the 60m.

U17 Girls
Nikolka Stevankova, 4th in the 60m.

U17 Boys
Diro Lawal, 2nd in the 60m

U18 Boys 1500m
Kevin O’Grady, 7th in the 1500m.
