Munster Uneven Cross Country

Posted on Nov 7, 2018 in Directions, Dooneen AC, latest news

I hope all the young athletes enjoyed the competition on Sunday. In total, approximately 80 events took place on Sunday and we had close to 100 athletes competing across every event. We will have a link to the results with a report later today. Paul Askins, chairman, will also publish an album of photos later this week. Training will resume again next Sunday morning at UL track at 9am sharp for those who wish to be considered for relays.

For those who are competing in the Munster Uneven Championships this Sunday, please note the following:

The venue changed last month and we have emailed you already about this. Please note it is now taking place in Turnpike, Two Mile Borris, Tipperary.

  1. Arrive early – the latest 10.30am (especially those who are competing at U9 and U11). Allow time for parking and finding us as most Munster competitions will have over 150 athletes in every race so it will be busy. Please look out for Aine, Jackie, Verena and Mike – arriving early gives us time to get athletes checked in, walk the course, warm up and settled at the start line with happy and relaxed children
  2. If your child does not have a singlet, do not leave it until Sunday morning. Please purchase one. We have singlets for sale on Thursday evening at Crescent Comprehensive. If you do not attend training on Thursday, make contact with us and we will try to get on to you before Sunday
  3. It may be muddy, so come prepared with wellingtons and a change of clothes for afterwards and warm clothes for both you and the children
  4. A map of the course can be found by clicking on the following link
  5. Parking and directions are contained on the Munster website but the link seems to be down. Please check the Munster website and our facebook page later in the week as we will publish it. www.munsterathletics.com
