Banna 10K
This race was hosted by St. Brendan’s A.C. on Sunday. Well done to Aly Hogan O’Curry, who ran 1:04:36, and to John Higgins, who also took part.

Alison Flynn ran Cyclopark parkrun in Kent, Cian Aherne (who ran a PB) ran Ballina parkrun, Gerard O’Shea (who ran a PB) ran Ballincollig parkrun, Shane O’Sullivan, Niall Harris, David Rohan, Eileen Reeves (who ran her 50th parkrun!), Katherine Reddan (who ran a PB), Ger Meehan, Meena Verma, and Marion O’Halloran all ran Limerick parkrun, while John Higgins, Ray Enright, Conor Lovett, and Patrick Noonan ran Mungret parkrun.

Borrisoleigh Track Attack 5K

This race took place on Wednesday with a large turnout of over 200. Well done to Robert McCarthy, who added the 5K to his list of PBs this year, running 19:34.

Irish Life Health National Senior Track & Field Championships

These championships were held in Santry over the weekend.

Women’s 100m hurdles

Sarah Lavin of Emerald and UCD A.C. continued her recent great form to win the Women’s 100m Hurdles in 13.30 from Sarah Quinn (St. Colman’s South Mayo) in 13.47, with Dooneen’s Lilly-Ann O’Hora coming a close 3rd in 13.60.

Run Killarney  

This half-marathon and 10K on Saturday saw over 1200 people complete both distances. In the half-marathon, first home for Dooneen was Joe O’Brien in 1:19:44, followed by Shane Ryan in a PB of 1:22:39, Alison Flynn in 1:37:02, and John Shier in 1:53:38. First home for Dooneen in the 10K was Declan Histon in 50:39, followed by Ger Meehan in 52:22. Well done to everybody who took part.

Kilmallock A.C. 5K Fun Run & Walk

This event was held on Saturday in aid of the Irish Red Cross South Limerick Branch. Well done to Cormac Downes, who finished 2nd in 17:55.
